EDITOR; A big thumbs up to the Vauxhall Library Board for the great weekend fundraiser the group put on for scrapbookers at the community centre. We all had a wonderful time. Special consideration goes to the talented Jo-Anne Farnsworth and Margaret Tashiro for sharing their organizational abilities with all of us, making the weekend truly special for over 50 participants, many who traveled from places as far away as Calgary, Edson, Medicine Hat, Brooks and Taber to attend. Appreciation also goes out to ScotiaBank, who continue to support projects in our community, like the library. Secondly, recognition has to be shown to those in the community who supported the Canadian Cancer Society for purchasing or volunteering to sell daffodils throughout the Vauxhall area. Daffodils are one of the first signs of spring, but are also one of the reminders of the good work the Canadian Cancer Society does in supporting those with cancer. ARLENE PARKINSON Vauxhall |
