EDITOR; Why are there always those select few who feel rules and regulations don’t apply to them? Apparently, a handful of Vauxhall residents do not intend to comply with a town bylaw which clearly states they need a permit for storage bins on their property. We also have those who think they should be allowed to have as many dogs as they want, park where ever they want, and have as many junk cars as they want, cluttering their property. Can you imagine what our town would be like if town administration and council just turned a blind eye to all that? Haven’t we been taught since we were kids to play by the rules or suffer the consequences? Administration should be able to concentrate on the important matters of running the town, and not have to waste time justifying and enforcing bylaws. It’s too bad the complainers in this town won’t put their energy to good use by taking a turn on council, instead of sitting back and criticizing those that do. SANDRA HAGEN Vauxhall |
