EDITOR;
The Vauxhall Agricultural Society, in association with the local farmers’ market, put on four bench shows, which replaces the agricultural fairs of the past.
These bench shows are open to all residents of the Vauxhall and district, including the smaller communities surrounding the area. You do not need to be from the farm to participate.

EDITOR;
We are writing an open letter of thanks on behalf of our family to the town of Vauxhall.
Our son, Ben Dartnell, was fortunate enough to be accepted at the Vauxhall Academy of Baseball. He has spent the past three years as a student athlete, living, going to school, playing baseball and participating in Vauxhall community life.

EDITOR;
On behalf of the Oyen midgets, I would like to thank The Town of Vauxhall and the provincial host committee for the hospitality and efficiency they showed in hosting the Midget “D” provincials on March 24-27. It is easy to see everything through rose-coloured glasses when you are winning, but I want to express some of the things that made this weekend extraordinary.

EDITOR;
I am responding to Trevor Busch's, Thursday, March 24 article on amendments to the land act.
The story stated with Bill 10 the "Stelmach government hopes to clarify the original intent..." and "can't figure out" why people who attended the High River meeting are still not pacified. I can. We attended what was probably a very similar meeting with Doug Griffiths and Mel Knight in Killam, and I likewise came away unconvinced of Bill 10's merits.

Efforts appreciated by town employee PDF Print E-mail

EDITOR;
I have lived and worked in the community all my life. Thirteen years ago I started at the Town of Vauxhall.
There have been changes of councils, administrators and even a few employees over the years I have been there. Being an employee of the town is very rewarding and yes, sometimes very trying. I like to think the town office doors are always open to this community, for your questions, concerns and ideas. After those front doors close behind you, your concerns are not forgotten, nor are they dismissed.
Whether they are addressed by administrative staff, public works or council, we do not take our jobs lightly. Our teamwork divides the task and multiplies that success. I believe not only in our community but in our small, committed staff, and the care we take each and every day in our jobs.
In conclusion, I would like to express my appreciation to the town of Vauxhall citizens for their support of our community and to the town staff, for which I am privileged to be part of, and also to Mayor Maloney and Coun.(s) Farnsworth, Glas, Green, Hagen, Van Uden and Brown for your support and dedication to your elected roles.
I look forward to many more interesting years  and the next new council. Come out and vote. Your vote is your voice.
MINDY DUNPHY
