Vauxhall has its New Year’s Baby. Jordan Loewen was born Jan. 12 in Lethbridge, to parents Jake and Tina, right around noon. Jordan weighed in at a healthy six pounds and 12 ounces. He is the third child, and first boy for the family. Jordan is joined by 10-year-old Justina and five-year-old Rebecca, both students at Vauxhall Elementary School. The Loewen family was not expecting to have first-baby honours for Vauxhall, and Jordan’s mother said the news came as a shock. “It was kind of a surprise. I thought about it and I was kind of hoping someone would beat us.” But it was young Jordan who won the race, and will now be the winner of a whole host of prizes from Vauxhall’s business community. |
