The following briefs are from the Feb. 9 meeting of the M.D. of Taber: Lots to be serviced Development is hopping in the hamlets of Hays and Enchant as M.D. council unanimously approved requests for quotes for water and/or sewer services for 21 different earmarked lots for Enchant and 21 for Hays. Site meeting for servicing is March 3. Banquet attendance Council approved unanimously to purchase a table of tickets for the upcoming Apex Awards Banquet April 15 at the Taber Community Centre. “It’s a good event where many kids from the M.D. are featured,” said Brian Brewin, an M.D. councillor who is scheduled to be attending along with Greg Sekura, Ben Elfring, and Dwight Tolton. Board shift approved MD. council passed unanimously a recommendation the entire Agricultural Service Board be appointed as the Soil Conservation Notice Appeal Board. Payment collections increased M.D. council passed unanimously an increase of $100 per month be granted to the Chin Coulee Gas Co-op as compensation for water bill payment collection. |
