Motorists can expect delays and a reduced speed limit on Highway 524 near Hays.
Paving is underway and affects the highway from its junction with Highway 879 to its junction with Highway 884. Traffic will be reduced to one-lane and the speed limit will be reduced to 80 kilometres per hour through the construction zone. Paving is expected to be finished by July 31, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution in the area and obey all signs, message boards and flag people. Motorists are reminded fines for speeding are doubled through construction zones when workers are present. |
