Vauxhall ready to host provincial Tier IV tournament

The Vauxhall Minor Hockey Association is proud to host the 2019 Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships, presented by ATB Financial, for the Hockey Alberta Tier 4 Peewee division.

The tournament starts on Thursday, March 28, and continues through Sunday, March 31. Games will be played at the Vauxhall Arena, located at 417 4 St. North.

Eight teams will be participating at the provincial championships, including the host, Vauxhall Minor Hockey’s Peewee Sabres. The teams will be vying for a spot in the gold medal final on Sunday, and a chance to win the provincial crown.

Pool play begins on March 28 at 5 p.m., and continues until March 30 with the last game starting at 7 p.m. The top four teams qualify for the semi-finals, which will be held Sunday, March 31 at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., with the gold medal game starting at 4 p.m.

The host Vauxhall Sabres play the following schedule of round-robin games:
March 28 at 7:30 p.m. vs Plamondon
March 29 at 5:30 p.m. vs Bow River Bruins
March 30 at 2 p.m. vs Warburg

Local fans are encouraged to come out and see some of the best Peewee Tier 4-aged players in the province competing at the provincial championships. The championship is being proudly supported by a number of local sponsors.

Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, March 29 at 4:30 p.m. at the Vauxhall Arena (417 4 St North).
