The Vauxhall Queens girls slo-pitch team are off to a good start, besting Bow Island in a recent double-header match-up.

Organizers for the 2013 Southern Alberta Summer Games, to be hosted in Taber, were in Taber last week to kick off the registration drive for the event which spans July 3-6.

Try-outs for a regional U14 boys provincial soccer team will be conducted at Ken McDonald Memorial Sports Park in Taber starting this week.

A bevy of local competitors were on hand for the SZJHAA 2013 Junior High Badminton Championships held in Medicine Hat over the weekend. Local singles and doubles competitors from Enchant School took home some impressive medals.
