It’s going to be a bit quieter around the town office, as Vauxhall council moves into its summer schedule.
At their regular meeting on June 15, council accepted a recommendation from administration to set two summer council dates.
The first will be July 20, and the second on Aug. 17.
It is expected that council would move back into their regular bi-monthly meetings in the fall, beginning in the month of September.
Council meetings are usually held the first and third Mondays of each month, with exceptions, such as long weekends. In those cases, meetings are commonly held the next night, on Tuesday.
The municipal slowdown occurs every year and is a common practice for many local levels of government and community organizations.
