M.D. of Taber Public Works moving ahead with sand seal on Highway 513

Municipal District of Taber administration is hoping to get to work on a sand seal on an 18-mile paved portion of Highway 513, which crosses through Divisions 2 and 3 and connects Highway 36 to Highway 877.

Administration brought the request to council’s regular council meeting on Jan. 24 to gauge their interest on getting the work done.

“I just wanted to bring some of these forward because I kind of felt that when we were doing the budget liberation talks, we kind of breezed over the plan for hard surface road repairs budget lines that were in there. So, before I started moving forward, I just wanted to bring it back to council and kind of give you another update on what we are planning to do with that money so you are aware,” stated Stu Weber, director of Public Works.
