Retlaw Prairie 4-H Beef Club January recap

January was a nice month for our members! The weather cooperated nicely making lambing a breeze and working with 4H steers enjoyable. Many of our members have been working on getting their calves to lead on their halters and practicing getting them ready for the Show n’ Sale.

Our Horse members met this month and had a very successful ride. They worked on dismounts and were assessed on their progress. Members were able to move up in their levels.

The Small Engine Group met up at the Mills Farm. There are projects being completed now which is exciting. We got to see a ride on lawn mower run again and a mini motor bike rip around.

Next month, our members will all meet and present their prepared speeches and presentations to our panel of judges.  Keep your eyes peeled for those results.
