R.C.M.P. January Report.
RCMP calls for service- Taber/Vauxhall detachment area 148, Town of Vauxhall 9. Traffic (alcohol/drug)- impaired driving, 24 hour and 30-day suspensions, immediate roadside suspensions 0. Non-criminal- 9-1-1 hangups in Vauxhall 6, detachment area criminal record check 27, detachment area fingerprints (general public) 5. Total violation tickets in Vauxhall 0, total violation tickets in Taber detachment area 35, ITU (Lethbridge/Redcliff) violation tickets 6, total patrols in Vauxhall 54. Persons crime increase by 3 more cases, property crime had 6 fewer cases, and total Criminal Code offences no change when compared to January 2022. Break and enters had 1 fewer instances, theft of motor vehicles decrease with 2 fewer instances, and theft under $5,000 had no change.
Cheque Listing for the month of February 2023
Council approved the total check listing of $300,713.82 for the month of Febuary.
37th Annual Celebration of Seniors’ Week
Vauxhall Council passed the motion to declare the first full week of June (June 5-11) as Senior Week in accordance with the Alberta government to honour and recognize seniors across the province. Additionally, council also passed a motion to approve expenditure of up to $500 for recognition of Senior’s Week.
