Chamber and Ag Society prepping for Dinner and Dance

The Vauxhall Agricultural Society and Vauxhall and District Chamber of Commerce Dinner and Dance will take place on November 25 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Vauxhall Community Hall.

“We created the event for the people in the community to have an evening of fun not having to drive for long,” said Petra Klempnauer Secretary/Treasurer for the Vauxhall Agricultural Society.

The Vauxhall Chamber of Commerce says that the event, which began in 2019, is to present the awards for Business of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. 

“We believe it’s an excellent way to honour the volunteer and business of the year,” Klempnauer said.

The event, Klempnauer says, is also a fundraiser for the Vauxhall and District Chamber of Commerce, as they will be running the bar. 

Tickets for the event, the Vauxhall Chamber of Commerce says, cost $50 dollars per plate or a table of eight is $400. Tickets, according to their Facebook page, are available online via the Eventbrite link they provide on their page or people can call/text 403-382-1698, email vauxhallag@gmail.com or stop into the Chamber of Commerce office on Friday, Nov. 17 to purchase tickets. 

The Chamber of Commerce says they are also looking for volunteers to help set up and take down.

The event will include a presentation of the awards, a dinner provided by Greta’s Kitchen, and the Bamboo Guppies Band playing for the duration of the night.

“The event is an excellent way to kick off the Christmas season and we hope businesses and the community will agree and join us for the night,” said Klempnauer.
