Nikkel Rink victorious in Vauxhall Farmer’s Bonspiel

A long-standing tradition for the community, the 68th annual Vauxhall Farmer’s Bonspiel was hosted at the Vauxhall Curling Rink over the past weekend.

“Our…bonspiel wound up on Saturday with great curling, meal and prize give away,” said co-organizer Darren Skretting.

The Todd Nikkel Rink, including Bryce Howg, Darren Klemen and Curtis Schlatt, came out on top as winners of the bonspiel after defeating the Daryl Brouwers Rink in the first event final.

The second event winners were the John Jesperson Rink, defeating Skretting’s rink. The third event winners were the Vic Bael Rink, which defeated the Jaret Kester Rink.

“Thanks to all the curlers, volunteers, and sponsors for all their support (of) our curling bonspiel,” said Skretting.
