Vauxhall’s farmers’ markets are back for another vibrant season in 2025, and the lineup of events promises something for everyone—from western-themed fun to locally grown corn celebrations and festive winter cheer.
While the markets are spaced out throughout the year, each one is thoughtfully curated to reflect Vauxhall’s community spirit and rural charm. For Maria Peters, the new organizer for Vauxhall’s markets, it’s about more than just shopping.
“I just want to build community,” Peters beamed. “The markets are a place for people to connect, support local, and have fun. I’m really excited to help them grow.” Peters has not been with the Markets long, but as a long-term Vauxhall resident, she hopes to continue to improve them and make it a harbour for the local community to gather.
The next market is just around the corner—August 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., featuring the Wild Wild West theme. Expect a country flair with western décor, classic tunes, and friendly faces. This event will bring a bit of rodeo to your Wednesday night.
Following that, August 20 brings the Corn Bust market—perfectly timed with the region’s sweet corn season. Also running 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., this event will celebrate one of Vauxhall’s most iconic crops with themed games, décor, and of course, corn-inspired treats.
As the school year kicks off, the market series keeps going strong with three fall and winter events on the calendar.
September 3rd (5:30–7:30 p.m.) hosts a Show and Shine, bringing in cars of all makes, years, and colours. Whether you’re into vintage muscle or custom builds, it’s a night for chrome, engines, and community pride.
September 17 (5:30–7:30 p.m.) brings Pumpkin Fest, featuring a pumpkin decorating contest for kids and families. Expect a harvest theme with autumn vibes and plenty of photo ops.
And finally, wrapping up the year is the Winter Wonderland Market on December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This cozy indoor event will include local vendors, a cookie decorating contest, and a festive atmosphere that kicks off the holiday season just right.
Each event is organized with heart and a strong commitment to keeping things local. “It is a privilege to live in Vauxhall as a small, peaceful community. With the generosity the community has, I am optimistic that together as believers we can make the farmers market good and strong,” emphasized Peters. Vauxhall’s farmers’ markets continue to serve as gathering spaces where people come for the produce and crafts but stay for the community connections.
Keep your calendar marked—these markets are more than just a shopping trip. They’re a celebration of Vauxhall itself.
