Residents of Vauxhall will be heading to the polls this October.
Following nomination day on Sept. 22, eight candidates have thrown their hat into the ring to become one of Vauxhall’s new town councillors.
There are seven councillor seats available. Once elected, the successful candidates will then select a council member to serve as the mayor and the deputy mayor roles during the first council meeting following the election.
The candidates are:
• John Paul Ballard
• Kimberley Cawley
• Shelley Rae Deleeuw
• Kim Dorin
• Marilyn Jean Forchuk,
• Russell C Norris
• Jimmy Wolf
• Henry Zacharias
The 2025 Municipal Election will take place on Monday, Oct. 20, with voting taking place between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. More details about the election will be made available in the coming weeks.
