Dust off your boots and grab your cowboy hats! The Taber Spring Classic Professional Rodeo is coming to the Taber Agriplex on April 24 and 25, promising a thrilling weekend of world-class competition and community celebration.

This highly anticipated event brings the excitement of professional rodeo right to our backyard. Top rodeo athletes from across North America and beyond are traveling to Taber to compete. You will see talent not only from Canada and the United States, but also from Mexico, Australia, and Brazil.

A major point of local pride for this event is the livestock. Taber’s very own Legends Rodeo Stock is serving as the official stock contractor. This local outfit boasts serious credentials, having recently showcased stock at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Tami-Jo Brewin, owner of Legends Rodeo Stock and a member of the Pro Rodeo Committee, shares the community roots behind the event.

“I’m just really excited that we’ve been able to bring pro rodeo back to Taber,” Brewin says. “Growing up, rodeo was one of the weekends we always looked forward to with kids and other family. It’s really exciting to bring it back and give families the opportunity to have an affordable, fun event where they can watch the top competitors from all over the world, and top stock as well.”

The Spring Classic offers a full evening of entertainment for all ages. Doors open at 5 p.m. each night. During the evenings, mutton busting gives the youngest cowboys and cowgirls their moment in the dirt. Fans will also be treated to spectacular entertainment by renowned trick rider Piper Yule. Attendees can also explore a western trade show vendor market, grab a bite at the concession stands, or relax in the beer gardens.

Join your neighbours at the Taber Agriplex on April 24 and 25 to support local stock, cheer on international athletes, and celebrate the return of professional rodeo to our community.
