Vauxhall’s special tax rates have been set for 2026.
During their regular April 20 meeting, Vauxhall town council review the proposed Special Tax bylaw for 2026.
Bylaw No. 1018-26 allows the town to levy a special maintenance tax against certain assessable properties on a frontage foot basis of $6.15, up to a maximum frontage of 300 ft, for the 2026 tax year.
Town manager and assistant CAO Mindy Dunphy told council there were “no changes” from the 2025 Special Tax Bylaw (No. 1009-25). Mayor Kimberly Cawley reminded council that the tax can be allocated to the budget for certain departments.
Council passed all three readings of the bylaw.
