Seventeen Avail CPA partners donated a culminative $100,000 to the Bringing Hearts Home Campaign, demonstrating the impact local business leaders can have when they invest in healthcare.

Rather than making a traditional corporate donation, partners of Avail CPA each chose to make a personal investment in the future of healthcare in southern Alberta.

Scott Rowland, managing partner for Avail CPA, says he hopes the gift given by Avail CPA partners inspires others to join in the cause.

“Every day we work with people who are planning for the future of their families, businesses and communities” says Rowland. “Supporting Bringing Hearts Home was an opportunity for our partners to invest in the health of southern Alberta.”

Crystal Elliot, chief executive officer for Chinook Regional Hospital Foundations says the partners’ gift demonstrates the extraordinary impact local businesses can have when they invest together in their communities.

“This gift is a wonderful example of what can happen when community leaders unite behind a common purpose.”

Sayeh Zielke, chair of Bringing Hearts Home Campaign, says the donation will help those in the region receive the best care possible, for generations to come.

“Every advancement in cardiac care begins with a community that believes patients deserve access to the very best care in the communities they call home.”

The Bringing Hearts Home Campaign is helping transform cardiac care in southern Alberta by expanding access to specialized diagnostics, leading-edge technology and life-saving treatment at Chinook Regional Hospital.

Through the generosity of donors, businesses and community partners, more patients will be able to receive advanced cardiac care without leaving the region for many specialized services.
