$100K Lotto 6/49 Super Draw win in Vauxhall

Takeshi Sato has stars in his eyes after winning $100,000 on a Lotto 6/49 Super Draw.

The Vauxhall farmer took his ticket in store to scan after the holidays had wrapped up. 

“Initially, all the zeroes just pop in front of your eyes!” he said. “I was pretty excited—I called my brother first and then my sister to share the news.” 

The Super Draw selection was one of 15 winners on the December 25 Lotto 6/49 draw, which included winners from B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces. 

Sato was one of two Alberta Super Draw wins for that day. 

“It’s pretty exciting,” he said. “I typically buy weekly and it’s a good feeling.” 

Sato purchased his winning Lotto 6/49 ticket from Save-On-Foods at 45-1240 Avenue N in Lethbridge. He won his prize by correctly matching the Super Draw selection: 33064337-01.
