The multipurpose building at the Vauxhall Rodeo Grounds is ready to be a community hub

The grand opening of the new multipurpose building, located on the Vauxhall Rodeo Grounds, will take place on Saturday, July 18.

“The building is designed to serve as a flexible community hub for meetings, workshops, rentals, and local events while also increasing the rodeo grounds’ capacity to host larger events by providing indoor space for bar service, entertainment, vendor coordination, and event operations,” says Judy Leeson, Vauxhall Ag Society vice president.

Construction started on June 10, 2025.

“The structure is complete, and currently we are working on furnishing the interior,” shares Leeson. “We plan to have the majority completed by the end of June 2026. We still have future upgrades that we are working towards as funding becomes available.”

Some of the notable features include a concession area, an upstairs meeting room, and an upper-level outdoor viewing deck overlooking the grounds.

The grand opening will be a celebration. Leeson shares the details.

“Our grand opening is scheduled for July 18, 2026, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. and ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. The 1st Annual HALO Team Roping Jackpot will follow, with food trucks, beer gardens, silent auction, and a cabaret.”

She concludes, “We are excited to see our community come together and enjoy this new facility.”
